Remembrance Day Services in Yorkton were held at the Nexera Flexihall Monday.
The services were attended by the largest crowd in recent memory, with people gathering to mark the efforts of Canadian service men and women since the First World War to current engagements such as Afghanistan.
The service included the traditional laying of wreaths, but also included an impromptu standing ovation for veterans over the age of 90, a song performed by its writer, a Grade 12 student in the city, and a presentation on the Korean War by Tammy Hall (See related stories.)
