A 39-year old Keeseekoose woman has been remanded in custody until July 4 on a second-degree murder charge.
Tania Quewezance was arrested June 22 after Kamsack RCMP responded to a 911 call about a disturbance at a residence on the First Nation.
At the scene, officers found 35-year-old Blaine Fiddler of Runnymede Saskatchewan dead. Sgt. Paul Dawson, an RCMP "F" Division spokesperson, said the two were not in a relationship, but there was a familial connection.
Quewezance appeared in Yorkton Provincial Court June 26. The defence requested an adjournment until tomorrow.
An autopsy was performed last week at Saskatoon City Hospital, but police are not releasing any details on how Fiddler died.
The accused was also injured and received treatment at Kamsack Union Hospital before being returned to RCMP custody.
