A special exhibition drawn from the Saskatchewan Arts Board Permanent Collection to celebrate Yorkton arts and culture. The Canadian Federation of University Women/Yorkton Club is hosting a presentation by Dr. P. Fourie, to be held on Oct. 23, 2012 @ 7 p.m., Room 101 at the Parkland College. Dr. Fourie will explain his concept on the clinic being piloted that will focus on improving patient access and care. Anyone interested in hearing more about this clinic is welcome to attend. The Children's Wish Foundation is proud to present the 4th Annual Wishmaker Walk for Wishes in Yorkton! We are searching for individuals, small businesses, community groups or a group of friends interested in walking in or volunteering for the event on Oct. 13, 2012 in Yorkton. Over the past three years this walk has raised over $65,000 which goes to help grant amazing wishes to children diagnosed with a life threatening illness. The Yorkton Community Bands 2012-13 season. The first rehearsal will commence on Tues., Sept. 18 at Yorkton Regional High School Band Room at 7 p.m.

Yorkton's All That Jazz, a twenty piece big band will also begin its new season as well. Featuring two vocalists, Jackie Washenfelder and Rob Zerr. Family Justice Services offers the Parenting After Separation and Divorce Program. These public information sessions are intended to help people who are considering or may be in the separation/divorce process. Sessions will be offered in Yorkton, Sat., Oct. 13, 2012, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration is mandatory. There is no fee for these sessions. The Yorkton Prostate Cancer Group will hold it's first meeting Oct. 18/12 at the Hospital Board Room. Guest speaker will be Steve Pillipow, a cancer survivor from Regina and a director with the National Association. All members are urged to attend.
