The annual Yorkton Regional High School car show came to an abrupt end today when an unknown suspect started causing some kind of undisclosed trouble.
The Good Spirit School Division is reporting that all students are safe in lockdown. Christ the Teacher Catholic Schools has also locked down Sacred Heart High School as a precaution.
The RCMP is on site at the Regional and the division is asking people to stay away from and not call the school. An automated voice message went out to all parents shortly after the school was closed.
Rumours are circulating that there was a handgun involved, but Yorkton This Week has not been able to verify them.
