Pachal's Beverages Plant looking Del Sveinsson says: "I recall walking past this nursery on Dunlop Street East many times during the 1950's and 1960's on the way to Bill's Grocery on the corner of 4th Avenue and Dunlop Street."
Our information from former owner Norman McKeeman is that Yorkton Nurseries Ltd. was founded about 1912. In 1922 the business came under the management of Charles G. Ward and in 1949 a flower shop was established under the management of Norman McKeeman when the name was changed to Yorkton Florists Ltd.
Mr. Ward operated the greenhouse until his retirement in 1969 when the buildings were removed and the property sold."
