Justin Yawney, of Yorkton Plumbing & Heating donated $2,000 toward the conceptual plan for a new hospital; he presented the cheque to Ross Fisher, Executive Director of The Health Foundation.

"A new hospital just makes a lot of sense," said Mr. Yawney. "This area is really growing, and the hospital is getting busier all the time. "

"I know people who work in the hospital, and when you talk to them you hear about some of the problems with this hospital. The nurses do a great job, but their jobs would be easier to do if they had a new hospital built for the healthcare that is practiced today, instead of 50 years ago." Mr. Yawney has been very generous.

We had a conversation a while back and I suggested it would be great if his company could donate a $1,000 to help us put together the conceptual plan for a new hospital, said Mr. Fisher. "When I suggested that he told me that they had already talked about it and decided they were going to give $2,000 because this is a project that is so important to this whole region, and it is very important that we are successful.
