The Saskatchewan Weekly Newspaper Association (SWNA) awards the best in print each year at the annual Better Newspaper Competition. Yorkton This Week took home one first-place, three second-place and four third-place prizes.

Third-Place: Best Advertisement, Brian Thomson. Best Special Section, Bill O’Boyle, Sandra Kerr, Brian Thomson.
Best Habitat Conservation Writing, Calvin Daniels.
