On Sunday night, a 14-year-old boy was struck and killed by a vehicle while riding his bike in the city.
The accident occurred at 7:15 pm at the intersection of Gladstone Avenue and Highway 16.
The boy was transported by EMS to Yorkton Regional Health Centre but declared deceased at the hospital.
A police investigation into the accident is ongoing. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
The teenager's name had not been released by press time.
