The Cab Clothing Yorkton Regional High School Male Athlete of the Month for September is Bo Loster. Bo is a Grade 10 student with an academic average of 80%. Bo just got back from golf provincials where he played very well and he also played in districts and got 3rd. This summer Bo was picked to represent Team Parkland Valley in the Summer Games for golf. During the summer months Bo was picked to represent Team Parkland Valley in the Summer Games for golf. During the summer months Bo also works at Deer Park Golf Course.
The Cab Clothing Yorkton Regional High School Female Athlete of the Month for September is Brandey Blahut. Brandey is in Grade 12 maintaining a 90+ average throughout high school. Currently, she is on the cross country team. This fall, Brandey has had a very successful cross country season placing 9th at provincials and receiving the YRHS Most Valuable Runner Award (Avery Westberg Award). She also participated at summer games this past summer for track and placed 3rd in pole vault. She is looking forward to the upcoming basketball, badminton and indoor and outdoor track seasons. Throughout her years at the YRHS she has participated in soccer, volleyball, cross country, basketball, curling, badminton, and track and field. Brandey is the Female President on the SRC and is on the Grad Committee. Outside of school, she is working on her Grade 10 piano, enjoys spending time with her friends, snowboarding and is part of the Adult Community Jazz Band. She helped coach basketball this past spring and looks forward to reffing elementary basketball. Brandey would like to thank her family, teammates, all coaches, Avery Westberg and Tom Cursons for their help and support throughout this year's cross country season. Congratulations Brandey!
