The Western Financial YRHS Male Student of the Month for November 2013 is Michael Kozushka. Michael is a Grade 12 student who is involved in a number of diverse activities at YRHS. He is an academic student taking AP Mathematics and English Language Arts courses while devoting time and energy to football, track and field events, robotics, and junior achievement. Michael's presence is notable in the hallways and the classrooms of YRHS and both teachers and peers comment on how he is a valued member of the Raider family. The Western Financial YRHS Female Student of the Month for November 2013 is Suun Shin. Suun is a Grade 12 Raider who, in her quiet and respectful way, role models the desired qualities of a YRHS student. Sunn excels academically in AP Mathematics and shows perseverance in other courses such as English Language Arts where she is an inspiration for other "Additional Language" students. She participates in Archery, and teachers and students alike have noted her compassionate and kind nature.
