Congratulations Danielle!

The Boston Pizza Yorkton Regional High School Male Student of the Month for April is Vlad Dombrovskyy.

Vlad is a grade twelve student at YRHS. Vlad immigrated to Yorkton from Odessa, Ukraine on February 26, 2010, slightly more than one year ago. He was unable to speak, read or write English when he arrived. However, Vlad is a friendly, gregarious young man with an insatiable appetite for learning. He worked and studied diligently to learn English, and has now completed all of the grade eleven subjects and some of the grade twelve subjects required.
He will have three grade twelve subjects left to complete in the fall 2011 semester to achieve his grade twelve diploma. At present, Vlad's academic average is over 80%.

Vlad has participated in extra-curricular football and he uses the weight room at YRHS daily to maintain his physical fitness. He also works at two part time jobs. Vlad really appreciates YRHS. He says that the school has helped him to realize the importance of personal knowledge and education, and YRHS opened his eyes to the many options available for his future. Vlad would like to pursue post secondary education, possibly at the University of Saskatchewan, and he is keenly interested in the possibility of joining the RCMP. Congratulations Vlad!
