Aunt Lydia Celebrates 104 years. Lydia Zimmer of Yorkton was born on July 28, 1908, 104 years ago! Lydia was the guest of honour at a dinner held on July 28, 2012 at the Taste of Asia restaurant in Yorkton to celebrate the wonderful occasion. The party was hosted and attended by her family and some special friends. Lydia follows the Saskatchewan Roughriders and enjoys cheering them on. The birthday cake was decorated using a Roughrider themed banner and, as a dessert, it was a winner (not unlike the Roughriders, right??!!).
The festivities continued on Sunday afternoon with a garden party in Dubuc at the home of her nephew, Earle and Nina Moller. Entertainment for the afternoon was playing an assortment of lawn games. Golf cart rides provided by Earle were especially enjoyed by Lydia and the children. The Mollers served up a lovely cold plate supper to bring the celebration to a close.
Out of town guests were Lydia's nieces: Joan and Bill Ohe; Audrey Rosvold; Lydia's great nieces: Paula Rosvold; Shelley and Derek Becker; Lydia's great-great nieces: Summer and Savannah Becker; all of Edmonton.
