The financial situation of the Yorkton Hyundai Terriers continued as a major sports story in the city in 2020.

The sale of Morris Industries has closed, but the Yorkton plant is not part of the deal. The result is that the Yorkton plant will close. The final approval of the sale was granted in Saskatoon Court of Queen’s Bench by Justice Sean Smith on Dec.

The wrestling program in Yorkton ended in 2020, but it ended with a bang. The final wrestler in the program, Riley Richards, took home a provincial title to end the program with a victory. It was Richards’ third provincial title.

Yorkton MLA Greg Ottenbreit was returned for a fourth term in the Saskatchewan Legislature. After the vote Oct. 26, Ottenbreit was quickly declared elected with approximately 75.

The Yorkton RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance in locating two vehicles that were stolen from Yorkton, and Melville. In the first incident, a 2018 Dodge Charger GT was stolen from a Yorkton car dealership sometime between Dec. 26, and Dec.

Perhaps a little jazz will help the COVID-19 blues. Canadian jazz musician and local resident Jim Clayton’s nightly online Piano Bar has attracted thousands of followers for just that reason.
