The Health Foundation received an extremely generous donation of $150,000 from Evelyn Pidhorney. The donation will be used to assist the purchase of the new operating room and lab equipment that is critically needed in the hospital.

COVID-19 may have led to the cancellation of numerous events in Yorkton this year, but one that will go forward, albeit in a different fashion is the Santa Claus Parade.

The Yorkton Business Improvement District has come to the support of the Yorkto0n Exhibition Association in its effort to raise money to retrofit the grandstand.

The Yorkton Chamber of Commerce will host an All Candidates’ Forum Wednesday October 28 for the Mayoralty and Council candidates in the upcoming municipal election. The Forum will be held at the Gallagher Centre beginning at 7:30 PM.

As a continuation of the “Masks for Seniors” project, Yorkton & District Community Foundation members will deliver 3,060 masks to residents living in seniors housing units in twenty district communities.

At the core of helping someone is understanding them. Author Corrine McArthur recently spoke to the Yellowhead East branch of the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers about her book Decolonizing the Healing Process from Sexual Trauma.

The Yorkton RCMP is requesting the Public's assistance to identify the male (see photo) in relation to an occurrence in Yorkton which was reported on Sept. 5, 2020.

Between Sept. 16 and Sept. 21st, multiple businesses located at 7 Broadway Street West, Yorkton, were the victim of break, enter and theft. Multiple miscellaneous items were taken during this time.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority is notifying the public of potential exposure to COVID-19 at the following businesses where a person or persons attended while likely infectious: Yorkton October 7, Burger King, 212 Broadway Street East, 11 a.m.

Local musician Jeff Michel is looking forward to the release of a solo album, likely next year, and he’s going to kick it off by releasing a single about a topic that is all-too familiar with Saskatchewan residents.
