The Springside Town Administrator, Kristie Evanovich was diagnosed with cancer in December of 2019. Early in January, 2020 she began rounds of chemotherapy, radiation and surgeries and then COVID-19 hit.

Construction on new passing lanes continues on Highways 9 north of Yorkton. The lanes will extend to Canora, and are part of an overall project that included passing lanes being constructed on Highway 10 between Yorkton and Melville.

Yorkton Arts Council and the City of Yorkton's Sidewalk Concert Series is wrapping up this week, with the Remainders, a jazz trio featuring baritone saxophonist Marc Holt, guitarist Michael Stankowski, and bassist Nevin Buehler.

This morning Melville RCMP were on scene of a serious single vehicle collision on Highway 10 approximately 1.5 miles south west of Melville, SK. Highway 10 will be blocked in both directions for several hours.

The Yorkton RCMP Detachment is requesting the public's assistance in locating 40-year-old Darwin Keith Whitehawk. Darwin Keith Whitehawk is described as being 5'8”, approximately 250 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes.

There are 17 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on August 3, bringing the total to 1,359 cases. The new cases are located in the North (4), Central (5), South (6) and Regina (2) regions.

Study estimates Saskatchewan could see an economic boost of $17.6 billion per year if more women owned businesses.
