The Ministry of Corrections and Policing is providing $330,000 to the City of Yorkton for policing initiatives. The funding is being provided through the Municipal Police Grants program for three existing Yorkton RCMP positions in 2020-21.

It was just the sort of day local storm hunter Ryan Crouse dreams of. On Sunday, (July 12), there was a warning of tornadoes and a storm between Yorkton and Melville, and he went looking.

Life is set to be easier for deafblind people in Saskatchewan. A new service will soon be on offer in the province by CNIB Deafblind Community Services, marking the first time it has been offered outside of Ontario.

A resident in the North who tested positive for COVID-19 has died. The individual was in their 20s. This brings the total number of deaths in the province to 15. There is one new case of COVID-19 to report on July 7, bringing the total to 806 cases.

Yorkton RCMP have located one of two wanted suspects in relation to an armed robbery that occurred on June 28 th , 2020.
