Long-term care facilities in the area are getting help, thanks to Rubicon Pharmacies. The donation to the Health Foundation of $10,000 will be used to support long term care facilities throughout the region.

Food is a focus of the Yorkton Farmer’s Market, and they’re helping others put food on their own tables. The vendors at the Farmer’s Market got together to make a contribution to the Salvation Army Food Bank.

The Yorkton Brick Mill Heritage Society’s annual dinner was about the past and the future at the same time. The society is raising money for the next steps for the mill, to make it not only an artifact, but a major part of the city.

It will be time to get pumped up during Culture Days. Arcana Kings will be the band the band playing at the Anne Portnuff Theatre, and their mission to make music to get people pumped up. The show will take place on Sept. 28 at 7:30 p.m.

Near noon on September 24th, 2019 the Yorkton RCMP received a complaint of an assault which occurred in the rear alley of 69 Broadway Street West within Yorkton. The victim suffered minor physical injuries and did not require any medical treatment.

How does a school celebrate a major anniversary? MC Knoll School decided that the best way to celebrate their place in the community was to give back, and that lead to the 20for20 project.

The federal election has been called, and as of today, all major parties currently have a candidate in the Yorkton-Melville constituency.

Information Services Corporation (ISC) is closing three offices across the province, and one of them is in Yorkton. The office, currently located in the Linden Square Shopping Centre, will close on Oct. 4.

Twylla Newton of Yorkton has added another pair of championships to her equine resume. Riding her Clydesdale Brelee Lilac Newton captured championships in both training level and prix capprilli, (small jumps), at the recent Westman Dressage Show.
