A very kind and generous friend recently gifted us with a clump of Jacob’s Ladder. Are you familiar with this plant? It is a pretty perennial that has a thick, bushy growing habit with dainty leaves, similar to a fern.

With food bank usage on the rise across Canada, the issue of hunger continues to be an ongoing concern in our community. From September 2018 to August 2019, the Salvation Army Yorkton Food Bank gave out 2,062 hampers, assisting 1,222 individuals.

On August 28, 2019 at 10 PM a group of 5-6 youths were seen damaging a scooter in the 100 block of Betts Ave North in Yorkton. The youth are described as 14-16yrs old, 2 females and 3-4 males. One a male was wearing a bright orange sweater.
