SaskAbilities - Yorkton Region said thank-you to its SACRAN customers today. The local organization had the barbecue fired-up, and were offering patrons hamburgers and hotdogs for lunch.

The sidewalks on the north side of Smith Street between Fourth and Fifth Ave. are being replaced as part of the City of Yorkton’s annual sidewalk replacement program.

While it’s been nearly two decades since the Vancouver Grizzlies called Vancouver home, B.C. fans recall the short-lived legacy with pride. Of course, the team didn’t win very many games, but Vancouverites loved their Grizzlies, regardless.

Phase one of the ‘shave and pave’ of Broadway Street East began on Aug. 6, with the paving machine, pictured above, ready for work. The work is expected to last until Sept. 27, with each phase lasting two weeks – one week for each side of the road.
