The Yorkton Exhibition Association Summer Fair is set to run Wednesday to Saturday of this week. Again the four-day event promises fun for all ages with the return of family favourites such as the West Coast Amusements midway and petting zoo.

It’ll be a country Saturday night to wrap-up entertainment at the summer fair this week as Doc Walker takes to the Painted Hand Casino Main Stage. The Manitoba-based country band has been a force in the genre for years.

An iconic piece of Americana is coming to Yorkton.

A trio of performances by a talented cast of players helped ensure that Equinox Theatre’s latest production was another enjoyable success with local theatre lovers.

In spirit of Canada’s 150 birthday, the Yorkton Brick Mill Heritage Society will be hosting a dinner to celebrate the York Farmer’s Colonization Company who settled here and were responsible for making Yorkton what it is today.

Saltcoats Lakeside Manor held its third annual Country Faire Thursday. The event had a number of activities for manor residents, their families and friends.

On Tuesday, June 20, the Godfrey Dean Art Gallery showed the locally made film Cognitive Justice. The film was produced, directed, shot and edited by Melissa Antony of the Yorkton Tribal Council.
