The Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) has released its latest monthly Business Barometer®, which reveals optimism among small business owners in Saskatchewan gained ground again in February to an index of 57.7, up 2.7 points from 55.

Telemiracle 41 broke the five million mark over the weekend of March 4 and 5, raising a total of $5,000,274. The Yorkton Kinsmen and Kinettes were one of the groups to help push that total higher raising a total of $30,888.61.

Every year in Yorkton approximately 40 people report sexual assaults, but only about 27 of those are accepted by police as legitimate. The other 13 are dismissed as “unfounded.

The ballet is coming to Yorkton. Ballet Jörgen is bringing Bouffonia to the city as part of the Yorkton Arts Council’s Stars for Saskatchewan series. It will be in town on March 11 at the Anne Portnuff Theatre.
