Yorkton Council has some concerns about a proposed subdivision within the Rural Municipality of Orkney, and they voted unanimously to pass those concerns onto the Ministry of Government Services.

Members of Good Spirit Cross Country Ski Club have completed preparations for the 2012 - 2013 ski season at Good Spirit Provincial Park. The club's Annual General Meeting was held Friday, October 19 in the Recreation Hall at the park.

Ray Sass, the current chair of Good Spirit School Division, was not re-elected in the October 24 election. Sass, a regional manager for SARCAN, has been a trustee with the school board for 10 years, eight of which he served as chair.
