After our changing of the gavel to our new Chairperson Doug Hull, he quickly got busy with Yorkton Business Improvement District work. First order of business was our fourth installment of our support to the Yorkton Brick Mill.

When it comes to the fiddle, few know their way around its strings and bow better than JJ Guy. Originally from Lintlaw north of Yorkton, and now residing in Saskatoon Guy has a long list of recordings and concerts to his name.

A moose wandered into the city today, and was captured on camera by Bailey Hubic as the animal stopped on Ross Drive. The Conservation Officer was called and attended to the animal.

The Yorkton RCMP recently recovered a stolen vehicle which was full of items believed to be stolen. Most of the items are power and hand tools (see photos of some of the more unique items).

Premier announces $3 million boost to urban highways partnerships

The 35th edition of the Yorkton Farm Toy Show was one of the final public events to take place in the city in February 2020, happening the 8th and 9th, just before events were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The show isn't as lucky this year.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority has temporarily closed our drive-thru COVID-19 test site for today, Thursday, Feb. 11, located at 276 Myrtle Avenue in Yorkton.

The 30th annual Hank Snow Tribute will have to wait for another year. The event is being cancelled for the second year in a row due to COVID-19.
