Air passenger service may return

Regularly scheduled passenger air service may be back in Yorkton within a few weeks. At least that is the hopes of the local Yorkton Airport Authority which has had meetings with Perimeter Aviation, a Winnipeg-based provider.

Shakespeare in the Park cancelled

The fifth annual Paper Bag Players Shakespeare in the Park has been cancelled due to a lack of performers. Auditions for Much Ado About Nothing were held in the first weekend of May but failed to draw enough actors to cast the play.

Local man fined for failing to file taxes

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) announced recently that Randal Sharp, 50, of Yorkton, Saskatchewan, was sentenced in Yorkton Provincial Court on May 14, 2012 for failing to file personal income tax and goods and services tax (GST) returns.
