It was good fishing at Batka Lake recently, at least for a hungry loon.
It just happened that Morley and Paula Maier of Yorkton, who occasionally “just go for a drive” happened to be on the scene at the small lake with Duck Mountain Provincial Park April 25, and Morley was able to take some photos.
The loon had a nice perch for lunch and the Maiers had some great photos.
