SASKATOON - A 46-year-old male, on Wednesday, was taken into custody by members of the Saskatoon Police Service's Tactical Support Unit following a three-week investigation conducted by the Crime Reduction Team. The CRT's investigation is in connection with drug trafficking activities in the Stonebridge area.
The suspect was apprehended without incident near a business in the 3100 block of Clarence Avenue. Search warrants were then executed at residences in the 100 block of Levalley Cove and the 800 block of Mendel Crescent.
The following evidence was seized from the search warrants: 300 grams of cocaine packaged in both bulk form and for distribution, $7,865.00 cash, and a Winchester 44-40 level action rifle.
The 46-year-old male is facing charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Cocaine, Trafficking in a Controlled Substances (Cocaine), Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5,000, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Careless Storage of a Firearm.
A 2018 Dodge Ram and a 2011 Nissan Maxima were also seized as offence-related property.
The CRT is funded by the Government of Saskatchewan through the Ministry of Justice, Corrections and Policing.
