Autopsies on two Canora bodies were to be conducted Friday

An autopsy was to take place in Saskatoon at 9:30 a.m. on Friday on the two bodies that had been located inside a residence in Canora. On May 24, shortly after 2 p.m.

An autopsy was to take place in Saskatoon at 9:30 a.m. on Friday on the two bodies that had been located inside a residence in Canora.

On May 24, shortly after 2 p.m. Canora RCMP received a complaint of two deceased individuals located inside a residence on the 100 block of White Sand Drive in Canora, according to a release from the RCMP issued on May 25. “The deceased were located by an individual doing a checkup after a period of time without contact.”

A 51-year-old female and a 58-year-old male were located deceased inside the residence, the release said. The deceased are known to each other.

Until autopsies are conducted and further investigation takes place, no further details would be provided, it said.

There is no risk to public safety and police are not seeking any suspects, the release said. RCMP Major Crime Unit South continues to investigate with the assistance of RCMP Forensic Identification Section, Canora RCMP and the Office of the Chief Coroner.
