The RCMP say a body has been retrieved from the South Saskatchewan River near the location where an Outlook teen disappeared on Sunday, July 16.

The family of missing 17-year old Justin Warwaruk has been notified of the finding, but the investigators involved in the case are still working to confirm the exact identity of the body that was located and pulled from the river on Friday morning by searchers.

Warwaruk disappeared five days ago while swimming at the Fred Heal Canoe Launch south of Saskatoon.  Numerous efforts to find the young man, who recently graduated from Outlook High School, have included the use of aircrafts, watercrafts and ground searches by dedicated rescue teams and volunteers.

A crowdfunding campaign aimed at raising money for search and rescue efforts, as well as Warwaruk's family, has raised over $27,000 to date.
