Bowes and Hrycenko tie with two wins, no losses in Duck Mountain Super League curling action

Draw number two in the Duck Mountain Super League (DMSL) of men’s curling was played in Kamsack November 22. Don Bowes, curling with Tom Jordens, Dave Placatka and Ed Guenther, prevailed over Rick Kineschuk of Benito.

     Draw number two in the Duck Mountain Super League (DMSL) of men’s curling was played in Kamsack November 22.

     Don Bowes, curling with Tom Jordens, Dave Placatka and Ed Guenther, prevailed over Rick Kineschuk of Benito. Jeremy Hrycenko of Arran made it two straight with a victory over Fred Perepiolkin of Kamsack, and Ken Newell’s crew out of Norquay delivered another loss to Bob Kolodzeiski of Canora.

     This leaves Bowes and Hrycenko tied for first place, each with two wins and no losses.

     Randy Trofimenkoff of Kamsack and Ken Newell, both having been granted byes in the first two draws, are also undefeated.

     The three winless teams, Kolodzeiski, Perepiolkin and Kineschuk, will try to turn things around in the DMSL third draw scheduled for November 29 in Kamsack.

     Duck Mountain Super League curling shifts to Norquay on December 6. The games start at 7:30 p.m.
