CALDER - Calder school a busy place

Well, the Calder School has been busy for the last few months. Mr. Withman Jaigobin, our School Superintendant, handed out the school's first Student of Distinction Award. This award went to Renee Walker. For the last few months, Mrs.

Well, the Calder School has been busy for the last few months. Mr. Withman Jaigobin, our School Superintendant, handed out the school's first Student of Distinction Award. This award went to Renee Walker.

For the last few months, Mrs. Rohatensky has been going to school to read in Miss Towell's classroom.

The Calder School Students and teachers held their Halloween Party at the school. There were some pretty scary costumes in the halls of the school.

Mon., Oct. 17 was Bus Drivers Appreciation Day.

Here is the school schedule for the next few weeks. The students will be travelling to Regina to attend a performance of Robin Hood, and they will also be going to the Science Centre. There will be no school on the 10th and the 14th. On Nov. 18, the grade 7 students will be attending a Violence Awareness Workshop in Yorkton.

Shiryel Adam, Karen Antony, Norma Harper and Marie Rohatensky motored to Regina. The ladies took Marie to the airport. She will be in Calgary for the next few months.

The Calder School held their Remembrance Day Program. They did a wonderful job and thanks to the few community members that attended the event.

Huge thanks to the parents of the Calder Playschool Program. They did a great job at their annual Pancake Breakfast, Raffle and Bake Sale. Big thanks to our community and surrounding area, family and friends who came out to support these events. The next fundraiser for the Calder Playschool will be a Valentines Draw in Feb. 2012. The parents will have tickets available in Dec. or the beginning of Jan.

The Calder Seniors held their whist drive. Here are the winners: 1st Donna Fustey, 2nd Judy Pryslak, 3rd Peter Wereschuk. Low went to Jim Fustey. The pot of gold winners were Anna Fyck and Norman Wozney.
