Canada 150 celebration held at Sturgis Station House

The Sturgis Station House Museum featured Canada 150 celebrations on July 5. The museum grounds featured a trade show with six vendors.

            The Sturgis Station House Museum featured Canada 150 celebrations on July 5. The museum grounds featured a trade show with six vendors. Vendors included: Scentsy, Layna Lamps, Abbie Holmberg, the museum board, Caleighs Crystals and Bracyn and Keltyn Konkel sold iced tea and lemonade.

            Entertainment was provided by Sherry Lesser, Jerry Steciuk and Les Terry.

            Children's activities included games that dwelt on the history surrounding Sturgis, Saskatchewan and Canada.

The children played a variety of fun games which tested their knowledge and were accompanied by fun physical games, said Sarah Brown, curator.

            The afternoon concluded with a hamburger supper complete with potato salad, baked beans, dessert and beverage.
