Canora Composite School senior boys basketball team wins third in home tournament

The Canora Composite School senior boys basketball team held a successful home tournament, which it finished by being awarded third place.

            The tournament was held January 6 and 7 at Canora Composite School and was attended by eight senior boys basketball teams from Canora Composite School, Kamsack Comprehensive Institute, Melville Comprehensive School, Porcupine Plain Composite High School, Norquay School, Stoughton Central High School, Oxbow Prairie Horizons School, and Rossignol High School of Île-à-la-Crosse.

            Melville Comprehensive School took first place by defeating Norquay School in the final with a score of 90-72, while Canora Composite School took third by defeating Oxbow Prairie Horizons School 64-32. Porcupine Plain won the consolation prize after a match against Stoughton.

            The senior boys basketball team was to take part in another tournament at Middle Lake on January 13.
