Canora Hospital auxiliary holds successful spring tea

The Canora Hospital auxiliary hosted its spring tea on May 12 at the Canora Hospital dining room. Although the attendance was down from previous years all the support was greatly appreciated, said Lorie Wasyliw, auxiliary president.

Although the attendance was down from previous years all the support was greatly appreciated, said Lorie Wasyliw, auxiliary president. The baking was donated by all members of the auxiliary.

Auxiliary members and hospital staff put in a considerable amount of work to make the day a success, according to Wasyliw.

Donations included two geraniums supplied by Canora Greenhouse, which were won by Vicky Demchuk and Vic Korchinski. A petunia donated by Chautauqua Gardens was claimed by Mary Marchinko.

A solar flower garden stake donated by Floreen Haskewich was won by Del Palagian. A door prize donated by Elizabeth Palchewich of a butterfly wreath made by Megan Hadubiak, went to Vicky Ryczak. Hand made slippers donated by Doris Negraeff were won by Helen Orchy.

Raffle winners included $200 to Audrey Hoehn for first prize, $100 to Cory O’Dell for second prize, and a third prize of $75 which went to Joyce Neufeld.
