The Canora Nursery School said goodbye to its students attending Kindergarten in the fall, but will be welcoming a new group of students with its August open house.

Alissa Wilson held a graduation ceremony for the 12 students who are going to be attending Canora Junior Elementary School in the fall. The graduates included Samuel Collingridge, Kasen Heshka, Ashton Streiloff, Jevon Keyowski, Mya Dutchak, Madison Dutchak, Reid Kitchen, Wade Vangen, Claire Ruf, Caden Doogan, Colby Fast and Chloe Doogan.

Wilson reminisced about the fun activities everyone took part in over the school year. “We believe in learning through play,” she said.

In following that motto, Wilson did many science experiments, such as learning how to make water walk. The class focused on preparing for Kindergarten, but still took part in many field trips to the greenhouse, fire hall, post office, and RCMP station.

Wilson will be welcoming a new class in the fall, and encourages all children ages 3 to 4 and their parents to attend the fall open house on August 24.
