The Canora Nursery School Trade Show was held on December 2 at the Legion Dugout, as a fundraiser for the school.

It was a successful event taken in by approximately 150 shoppers, said Brandi Fullawka, show organizer and Canora Nursery School president. She said they appreciated the timing of the event, at the start of Christmas shopping and just as many seemed to be getting into the Christmas spirit. And of course, the kids enjoyed seeing Santa Claus at the event

It turned out to be beneficial that the show took place during Canora’s Winter Lights Festival, since it was advertised extensively with the other events happening during the week.

The list of vendors included: Brandi Fullawka of Canora with Co-op community-wide 50/50; Alissa Wilson of Canora with Thirty-One; Jenn Norberg of Canora with Jenn’s Younique products; Andrea Johnston of Yorkton with SeneGence; Heather Chabun of Canora with Epicure; Jesse Boulanger and his father Marcel of Canora with Mary Kay; Lillian Roe and Diane Manahan of Canora St. Andrews United Church women with cookies and perogies; Joyce Collingridge of Canora with Young Living Essential Oil; Lindsay Magnusson of Canora with Extravadance Performance Group baking and Discovery Toys; Tammy Appleton and Diane Hazeu of Yorkton with Tupperware; Megan Mickelson of Canora with Scentsy; and Nancy Tratch of Canora with homemade bracelets.

Fullawka said the Co-op community-wide 50/50 tickets, a nursery school fundraiser, will be sold until the draw is made on December 18, and will be on sale at Canora Gateway Co-op on December 16. The winner will receive a cheque for half of the money raised.
