Children and their parents are encouraged interact more with their children through the Come Grow With Me initiative at the Family Resource Centre.

The program encourages parents and children to have more quality time together. This can be achieved though a variety of means, such as interactive play, stories and games. It is the beginning of developing more involved family time, says a release from the organizers. The "Come Grow With Me" program is held at the Preeceville Library every Wednesday and in Norquay at the Covenant Church every Monday.

The program encourages parents to spend quality time with their pre-school children through storytelling and making crafts, said Teniel Larson, who is the instructor for the program in both locations. It is open for children under six years of age and their parents.

The program is held with financial support from the Family Resource Centre and the Community Initiative Fund.
