Since 2011, the Outlook & District Chamber of Commerce and The Outlook newspaper has put a spotlight on a number of deserving citizens, businesses, groups and events with the annual Community Appreciation Awards.
These honors are bestowed upon those who go above and beyond to serve their community and make Outlook a great place to live, whether it's through volunteer efforts, making a lasting impression on local residents, or standing out with exceptional customer service. Their efforts don't go unnoticed by the public, who help determine the recipients by filling out nomination forms and submitting them to the Chamber of Commerce.
Following a meeting this week, the newest recipients of the Community Appreciation Awards have been decided, and they are as follows:
The 2017 Jim Kook Citizen of the Year - Bob Stephenson
The 2017 Business of the Year - Jacq'y Jaye's Boutique & Espresso Bar
The 2017 Youth of the Year - Matthew Hogan
The 2017 Community Group of the Year - New Pool Fundraising Committee
Congratulations to all the recipients!
The 7th annual Community Appreciation Awards banquet takes place on Friday night, March 31 at the Outlook Civic Centre.
