Fees for some criminal record checks are going up after Yorkton Council unanimously supported a recommendation from the local detachment Monday.
In reviewing revenue sources for the C\city detachment of the R.C.M.P. it has been noted that the criminal record check fee for the City of Yorkton detachment is lower than what most other detachments charge, Staff Sergeant Jeff Simpson told the regular meeting of Council Monday.
“In reviewing this I would like to suggest that the fees for the basic criminal record check and or vulnerable sector check be increased from the current $25 to $40,” he said.
“Fees for other clearances requiring a LiveScan submission will remain at $25 and any volunteer’s clearances remain at $10.”
