Decision adjourned in Saskatoon dial-a-dope bust

Police seized 53.6 grams of crack cocaine, 1.1 gram of soft cocaine, five mobile phones, $6,795 in cash, and one vehicle.

SASKATOON – Update: On Jan. 11, Denar Thomas was handed a two year conditional sentence to be served in the community.

Original story: The verdict for a 33-year-old man charged in a dial-a-dope operation has been adjourned until Jan. 11, 2023.

Denar Thomas’ matter was back in Saskatoon Provincial Court Sept. 29 to be spoken to after a trial that ran May 9, June 27 and June 28.

Thomas was charged with possession and trafficking drugs after the Saskatoon Police Service Drug Unit and Saskatoon Police Air Support Unit executed search warrants on a vehicle and home in July 2021. Police seized 53.6 grams of crack cocaine, 1.1 gram of soft cocaine, five mobile phones, $6,795 in cash, and one vehicle.

Saskatoon Police say they had observed activity consistent with drug trafficking and the search warrants were executed following a traffic stop of the vehicle in the area of Circle Drive East near 1st Avenue North and at a home in the 200 block of Willis Crescent.
