Four charged in Cody Tait's homicide have more court appearances

Police had responded to a shooting on Beardy's/Okemasis in March.

SASKATOON – The case against four people charged with second-degree murder in the death of 22-year-old Cody Tait continues to make its way through Saskatoon Provincial Court.

Robbie Brent Cameron, 28, Alison Ocean Sky Bear, 20, and Dana Andrew Morningchild, 29, all of Saskatoon, and Scotty Lee Jimmy, 20, of North Battleford are expected back in court Oct. 12 to speak to the matter .

Police say that Tait was found deceased on a road in the community after they had received a report of a shooting on Beardy’s/Okemasis’ Cree Nation at approximately 5:50 p.m. on March 27. Despite life-saving efforts, Tait was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Cameron was arrested March 29, Jimmy and Bear were arrested April 1, and Morningchild was arrested April 5.

The charges against the accused haven’t been tested in court.
