The importance of downtown Canora is under the spotlight as Canora’s Downtown Revitalization Beautification Project gains momentum.
Our revitalization project is well underway and we have a lot of business owners very excited about creating new standards and making positive changes.
In any town, an economically dynamic, culturally vibrant downtown contributes to the prosperity and quality of life the entire community. Downtown has a vital role as a shopping centre and as a generator of jobs. It also represents a large portion of the municipality’s tax base, and a huge amount of public and private investment in buildings and other infrastructure.
A well cared for, thriving downtown speaks of pride and is a reflection of our community. This message is sent to our local residents, visitors and potential investors. Our goal is to make Canora’s downtown business sector a successful and compelling destination for tourists and locals.
Our new Town of Canora banners will be going up towards the first week in May. Working together and creating new standards will give us beneficial results.
