Congratulations to Jackie Johnson who was presented the 2011 "John Currie Leadership Award" for $800 at SIAST in Regina. This award is dedicated to recognize students who have demonstrated leadership in extracurricular activities and academic requirements while looking out for the better interest of all students at the SIAST Wascana Campus in Regina. Jackie is just finishing her 2nd year of 4 years of training for a Dental Hygenist. Great Job, Jackie!

A community garage sale was held at the Hut with proceeds from the sale of donated items on one of the tables and a "coffee row" table going to the upkeep of the Hut. It was deemed a successful fundraiser because of those who donated items for sale and those who ventured out to buy treasures and visit over a cup of coffee. Seven other vendors had tables rented from the Hut for their wares, as well. There were also three private garage sales held around town.

Jade Stadel has finished her studies and is working as an LPN at St. Anthony's Hospital in Esterhazy. We are glad to have you back "home" living in Dubuc.

Atwater United Church held one of their regular worship services in Dubuc Worship Centre on Mother's Day. Shelley Morris and Rev. Susan Griffith led the worship while Lindsay Griffith was the organist. The congregation was treated to musical selections by Art and Sylvia Stadel and Peter Franck. Following the service, everyone was invited to the Hut for a lovely luncheon before heading home.

Congratulations to Earle and Nina Moller who celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on May 11th. WOW!! They brought some tasty scones and treated 17 people to coffee at coffee row on Tuesday, May 10th. Sharon (McAlpine) Tabbernor of Spy Hill and Alan and Betty Willway of Cowessess were special out-of-town guests that morning.
