RCMP members came prepared Thursday after receiving a complaint of a distraught 41-year-old male at a rural residence near Endeavor.

Investigators received information that the male was intoxicated and had access to multiple firearms in the residence. As a precaution and based on the information that was received, the RCMP Emergency Response Team (comprised of members from “F” and “D” Divisions), RCMP Police Dog Service from Yorkton and Regina along with members from the Kamsack and Kelvington RCMP detachments attended to assist Canora RCMP.

Shortly before 10 p.m., the male was taken into police custody without incident. A search warrant was executed and police seized three firearms and ammunition from the residence.
