The last of a series of aquasize sessions sponsored by the Family Resource Centre at the Kamsack Swimming Pool ended Tuesday with participants and organizers eager for more sessions next season.
Aquasize, or exercise in the water, has been very popular, said Andrea Verigin, the early years facilitator at the Family Resource Centre. Held for mothers, it was instructed by Allison Thomsen.
The sessions were held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., said Kev Sumner, Kamsack’s recreation director, who said that interest in the program was sufficiently high that it was decided to hold another hour of aquasize for all people during the hour prior to the mothers’ time in the pool.
“We’d love to have as many people as possible involved,” he said.
Thanking all the women who participated in the resource centre’s sessions, Verigin said she is eager for more such sessions in the pool for mothers next year.
Sumner said the 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. sessions of aquasize will continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays until the pool closes for the season at the end of the month.
