The Canora Composite School cross-country team continues to impress parents and coaches by having 14 students place in the top 10 of their respective races.
The students braved the elements on October 6 and travelled to Cherrydale in Yorkton for a cross-country meet, where 17 CCS students raced in eight different divisions.
In the sneaker boys category, Porter Wolkowski finished strong and came in fourth place, with Cole Marcinkowski behind him in fifth. Hunter Lamb and Lucas Latham also completed the race and finished in eighth and 19th places, respectively.

In the bantam boys category, the two students competing, Jacob Gulka and Maxwell Mydonick, placed third and 11th respectively.
In the midget girls category, Kara High finished the race with a strong placing of fifth.
Juan Mesa-Castaneda was the only CCS student who competed in the midget boys category, and was awarded fourth place.
In the junior girls category, Jill Gulka won a gold medal by placing first. Felicity Mydonick also competed and placed sixth in the race.
Abby Gulka completed the senior girls race in seventh place, while Nathan Bucsis, the senior boys runner, was awarded second place in his race.
