Approximately 100 people from the Preeceville, Sturgis and Stenen area attended a Halloween bingo on October 30 in the gym of the Sturgis Elementary School.
"Instead of money, winners received toys of their choice,” said Janet Roelens, co- director for 123 Care For Me Child Care Inc. "Most of the bingo players came dressed in costumes.
“Donations from the Sturgis Kinnette Club, Sturgis Kinsmen Club, SIGA, SaskTel and SaskEnergy made purchasing toys and candy possible,” Roelens said. “No one left empty handed as treat bags were given out at the end.”
Among members of the 123 Care For Me Child Care Inc. staff who helped were: Brooke Olson, Heather Descalchuk, Sharon Secundiak, Janet Roelens, and Jordan Muse. Rhonda Olson called numbers.
Toy bingo winners were: Sydney Koloski, Molly Jaeb, Carsyn Galiz (two), Sydney DeRuiter, Kristin Olson, Bo Babiuk, Lily Beatty, Ethan Balawyder, Dillon Serdachny, Trae Peterson, Zaiden Rudachuk, Abby Scheller, Shaye Burym, and Kourtney Gregory.
Ashten Langille is the other co-director for the organization.
