Someone with the right ticket will be $20,000 richer at the beginning of the summer.

The Assiniboine Valley Health and Wellness Foundation has launched its Summer Solstice Lottery which has $20,000 as its top prize, and $5,000 as the second prize.

The draw will be made at the Assiniboine Valley Health Centre on June 23.

Until then, everyone is being encouraged to consider purchasing tickets from members of the board, from the clinic, from members of the student leadership team at the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute or online at assiniboinevalleyhealthandwellnessfoundation.com.

Tickets cost $20 each, or a three-pack for $50, said Anne Schlivert, manager of the foundation.

All proceeds go towards continued improvements at the Health Centre, she said, adding that the Foundation has printed 750 single tickets and 800 packages of three.
