Members of the Golden Jets gathered on December 4 for a Christmas party and to share the joy of the festive season. A chicken supper, Christmas carols and presents were only a part of the excitement the members enjoyed that evening.
The village office was the meeting point for the Rama Recreation Board on December 4. Again the committee focused on fundraising efforts, supporting community events and village celebrations. The next meeting will be held in 2017.
The grades 3 to 5 students at the Invermay School have been busy practicing for their Christmas play The Night the Reindeer Rocked. The Christmas social will be on December 20 at the Invermay Community Hall.
The Christmas dinner will be hosted by the Grade 12 class as their graduation fundraiser.

Tuesday night Kaiser Tournament winners were Liz Okrainetz and Nick Woloschuk. In second place were Adam Kosar and Lisa Pasloski, while third-place winners were Ed Brezenski and Christine Dyky.

Golden Jets bingo winners on December 4 were Eleanor Shewchuk (three), Helen Fullowka, Mary Kowalyshen (three), Ed Yasinski and Mary Mikush. Joe Kowalyshen won the door prize.

Bingo caller for the afternoon was Adolph Wolkowski. Ed and Janet Yasinski provided the bingo lunch.

The next bingo will be held in January.

On December 7 family members and residents of the Invermay Health Centre celebrated Mary Nowakowski's 92nd birthday.

Christmas events at the Invermay Health Centre for December include the residents’ Christmas party, the carol festival on December 18 and the Christmas Candlelight Service on December 20. All are welcome to attend.

December temperatures keep getting better. If you think it's cold today, just wait until tomorrow. Be very careful out there and also be sure to bring your pets indoors, unless of course your pet is a polar bear.
