Students who take the bus in the Rama area had no choice on January 12 as the Good Spirit School Division cancelled buses due to the extreme cold temperatures, blowing snow and wind chills.

Georgina Pasloski and her husband, Ron Vos of Warman, were visiting family in Rama over the Ukrainian Christmas weekend. Pasloski and Vos also had lunch and visited with her mother, Sophie Pasloski, at the Invermay Health Centre.

The Rama Rec Board cancelled its scheduled meeting on January 11 due to weather conditions. It will, however, reschedule for the following week. The next meeting date will be announced this week and again new members are welcome to attend.
Lorraine Kaminski was one of six winners on December 10 playing Yorkton Kinsmen Radio bingo. Lorraine purchased the winning bingo card at the Rama C Store.

Nearly two dozen Potash Corporation Cory Mine workers, west of Saskatoon, won $1 million playing Lotto Max. I am so thrilled to announce that one of the lucky winners was my niece’s husband, Cory Baschuk, who said there were a lot of cheers when they received the call that the group won. Amanda Baschuk is the daughter of Edward and Rita Nowakowski of Saskatoon. Amanda and Cory live in Martinsville and have two sons, Teyson and Every. They plan to pay some bills, put some money in the bank and treat the boys!
