The residents of the Preeceville and District Health Centre LTC (long-term wing) have had a busy summer and fall, being involved in many activities and events.

The month of November kicked off with regular group exercises, walking and mental aerobics. There was also bingo, “ladies tea and chat,” crafts and baking.

Entertainment for various events was supplied by Valley Country Gems, Willie and Company, Mike and Company and the Mennonite Choir.

Weekly church services were provided by several parish members of the Preeceville and District Ministerial Association.

On Remembrance Day, residents will acknowledge those who fought and died for freedom on the battle field. A Sewlutions Clothing sale is to held on November 10. The Christmas tree is scheduled to be put up and decorated later this month. That event will be followed by taking Christmas pictures of the residents.

The monthly birthday party will be hosted by the Preeceville Ukrainian Catholic League.

Other activities included: lotion therapy, stories, spa day, Bible studies and baking bees. The residents and staff are to be organizing a project to prepare special boxes for the Samaritan Purse for children overseas for Christmas.
